I know I have been a very Very bad blogger! I am Sorry... no one reads this anyways right? :) If you are reading this I thank you for your patience with me the worlds worst blog writer! My last post was at the beginning of summer and we are 10 days away from Christmas! Where did this year go!? Sorry Summer is here and I have been really busy busy busy! It looks like it will be that way till after our family camping trip in early August. I hope everyone had a very Happy & Safe Independence Day! I will post some fun pics later. Craft Warehouse frames :)

I got some frames from Craft Warehouse (Kennewick Washington store) made by Sierra Pacific Crafts www.sierrapacificcrafts.org I am having a fun time painting them right now! I will post some pics when I finish! Stay Happy & Crafty Everyone! :) ♥

So Sweet!

So here is my page. I Love this paper! Sweet Threads from Basic Grey. I knew I wanted to use this picture and I had it on another paper but I was not liking it. I saw this paper and it was like it put itself together! SVGCuts.com is where I got my cut files, Memory Garden set & Strawberry Lane were used. The flowers came from SVGCuts also but from a free svg file. I made the background paper by laying cut flowers on white paper and spraying Gingersnap Smooch Spritz and Viva Pink Glimmer Mist. I also used some of The Paper Studio rub on sketches. The So Sweet words were welded using SCAL the font is called Segoe script and I am sorry I do not remember where that came from. I am going to add some journaling soon but other than that i feel it is pretty close to done. I really like how it turned out! :) I will try to start on another layout soon and I will try to post it on here for you to see. I Love Scrappin! Don't know if I am any good at it but I try...Did I say I Love it! lol LML TTYL ;)

My Hair Cut :)

In February I decided that it was time to cut my hair. Nothing special I had just been busy and always put it up in a clip. It was becoming to much to deal with. This is a pic of my hair before my haircut, the reason I took a pic was because my hair had never in my life been this long! When I sat in the chair and the Beautician asked me what we were doing to my hair I told her I wanted several inches cut off, to just above my shoulders. She started combing out my hair and then she measured it, and then put the ruler away. I asked her why she measured my hair and she told me when it looks like they are cutting off atleast 8 inches of hair they ask if they want to donate their hair to Locks of Love. She told me that I was not having enough cut off to do that and so she didn't ask me if I wanted to. I wanted to! How often do you think I would let my hair get this long?! I asked her how close were we so she go the ruler out and said we needed maybe 2 more inches but my hair would be really short! I said like boy haircut short? Or A line short? She said A line short (it is a name for a haircut style). I said lets do it! So she puled my hair into a pony tail and cut it off! :D I got a little teary cuz I was thinking how great this is! My hair for a wig for a cancer patient made me happy! Devin (my 19 year old son) was sitting in the waiting area not paying attention when I told him to come take a pic his face expression was classic! Very funny! So he took the picture you see above. I got another surprize my haircut was free because I was donating my hair, Can't make my day much better! I was very pleased about what happened that day! This happened in february but i still wanted to post it on my blog. :) TTYL LML ♥

Did I Ever Tell You I Love Roses?

Did I ever tell you I Love roses? Well I do! I have been searching for the right cut file to make my own to use in my crafts and on scrapbook layouts. I found so many tutorials but never the cut file, until today! I should have went searching here first! You know one of those duh moments! ;) You will never guess, well maybe you will cuz your smart! Penny Duncan Creations, yup she has the best stuff! I Love her blog! I also added her link in my sidebar, don't ask me why it wasn't there before! I was sure it was, silly me! So I downloaded the cut file and watched the tutorial and here is a pic of my first attempt, Pretty fantastic if I do say so myself! I am very happy with this! I am going to be popping flowers out like a machine, probably till my fingers fall off! Hopefully that will never ever happen lol knock on wood! ;) So if you love roses like I do, pop on over to Penny's blog!

I remade This!

I have been really bad about posting and sharing on my blog and I hope to do better this year! No promises tho :) I will try. So After all this time I feel I have finally done something worth sharing. I will tell you now it is not perfect but it works and I am very happy with it! I bought a nightlight for 5 dollars at a second hand store that was in need of repair. I am not sure what to call it, it has many names, harmony lantern, shadow lantern, spinning nightlight, magic Lantern... I could go on and on sorry. Anyhow I traced the top that was torn, scanned it into my computer, fixed it in paint, traced it with SCAL ♥ and cut it on my Cricut :) I cut it from textured cardstock out of a paper pack from Colorbok at 9.25 (keep proportions). Then from a 12 by 12 size sheet of acetate cut it at 4.75 you will need 2 but then trim each to 7.5 because you only need it to be 15 inches by 4.75 inches. When I find a bigger sheet of acetate I wont need to trim and piece together :) Then on my Cricut :) and using SCAL ♥ I picked out shapes I wanted to use and cut them from vinyl and randomly placed on the acetate. then I inked all over the acetate with my Ranger Adirondack Alcohol Inks :) I then removed the vinyl stickers. I think I may have used to many but I still really like it. It is really bright tho :) This part is kinda hard to describe but there are little notches on the top spinning mechanism that you line up the point of the sections with making sure the bottom edge is flat or even. Continue all the way around to form a circular fan type thingy, I wish I had a better word for it sorry :) I used a double sided tape, sorry can't remember the brand name. Then with the double sided tape again I wrapped the inked acetate around it making sure it was even and trimmed a little bit off the acetate, then put the edges together with the tape. The fan sits down in about 3 quarters of an inch, hopefully the pictures will explain better. I had the frame and the tiny little piece that helps it spin easily. So I am still trying to find out how I am going to make more with different pieces and a homemade frame. Wish me Luck! :)
